Organic Acids Test:

Fatigue, brain fog, mood changes, or digestive issues without clear answers? The Organic Acids Test (OAT) measures byproducts of your metabolism in a single urine sample, offering a window into energy production, nutrient needs, neurotransmitter activity, and microbial overgrowth.

About Organic Acids Test

Your metabolism leaves
a trail of clues.

Organic acids are compounds your body makes as it turns food into energy, processes nutrients, and breaks down neurotransmitters. Some are also produced by yeast and bacteria in your gut. When certain organic acids are high or low, they can point to where a process may not be working as it should.

The Organic Acids Test measures dozens of these markers in a single first-morning urine sample. It gives Chelsea insight into mitochondrial energy production, B vitamin and antioxidant needs, neurotransmitter metabolism, detoxification, and possible yeast or bacterial overgrowth.

At Orchid Wellness, the OAT is ordered through your $250 functional consultation with Chelsea Asante, FNP-C. The test is billed separately, and your results are reviewed live, in person in Carrollton or by telehealth across Texas, New York, Virginia, and Washington DC.
